The comparison
Seedly CRM vs GoHighLevel: The Full Comparison (2026)
One-time ownership against a monthly subscription. Price over five years, features, white-labeling, rebilling, data control and setup, compared line by line.
Short version: if you run an agency and expect to still be running it next year, Seedly CRM beats GoHighLevel on cost, ownership and control, and it isn’t close. GoHighLevel is a good product you rent. Seedly is a comparable product you buy, once, with the source code in your hands.

The verdict in one table
| Seedly CRM | GoHighLevel | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | One-time license, $1,599 | Subscription: $97 / $297 / $497 per month |
| 5-year software cost | $1,599 + your hosting | $5,820 / $17,820 / $29,820 |
| Source code | Yours, full access | Not available |
| Sub-accounts | Unlimited | 3 on Starter, unlimited from $297/mo |
| Seats and users | Unlimited | Included per plan |
| Rebilling with markup | Included | Agency Pro ($497/mo) |
| Rename it as your own product | Allowed by the license | White-label inside their platform |
| Where client data lives | Your Convex account | HighLevel’s infrastructure |
| Updates | Opt-in, merged when you choose | Rolled out to every account |
| Support | Seedly community + docs | Vendor support team |
GoHighLevel prices are list prices on monthly billing as of October 2026. Annual billing takes roughly 17 to 20 percent off. The gap stays huge either way.
Price: rent vs own
This is the part the GoHighLevel sales page skips. A subscription has no finish line, so the honest way to price it is over the life of your agency.
| Years | GHL Starter | GHL Unlimited | GHL Agency Pro | Seedly CRM (license + $50/mo hosting) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $1,164 | $3,564 | $5,964 | $2,199 |
| 3 | $3,492 | $10,692 | $17,892 | $3,399 |
| 5 | $5,820 | $17,820 | $29,820 | $4,599 |
Against Unlimited, the plan most agencies end up on because Starter caps you at three sub-accounts, Seedly breaks even in month seven. Everything after that stays in your business.
Two notes keep the comparison fair:
- Messaging is billed per use on both sides. GoHighLevel passes through phone and email usage. Seedly connects to your own Twilio, Telnyx, SendGrid, Postmark or Amazon SES accounts and you pay those providers directly. A sub-account sending 1,000 texts a month runs about $8 in Twilio fees. It’s a wash, so we leave it out.
- Hosting is real money, but small. Seedly quotes $25 to $200 a month for typical hosting. Its own setup guide puts a fresh install at $0 to $20 a month on free tiers. We use $50 as a middle figure. Plug in your own number.
Features, line by line
Seedly was built by an agency owner who ran on HighLevel for a year, and it shows. The feature set maps almost one to one onto how agencies actually use GoHighLevel day to day.

Where GoHighLevel still has an edge
You should hear this from us rather than find out after you buy:
- Funnels, websites and courses in one bill. GoHighLevel bundles a page builder and membership areas. With Seedly those are separate products, Seedly Sites and Seedly Communities, sold separately.
- A native mobile app. Seedly is a mobile-friendly web app with push notifications to your team’s phones. It works well on a phone, but it isn’t an App Store download.
- Zero setup. GoHighLevel is live the minute you pay. Seedly takes an afternoon to a day of guided setup, plus a carrier wait for US texting.
- A support desk. GoHighLevel has a support team. Seedly support runs through an active owners’ community and very thorough docs.
None of these change the math for an established agency. They’re why a brand-new freelancer testing an idea for a month might still rent.
Ownership: what you actually get
The Seedly license is short and readable, which tells you something by itself. In plain terms you may:
- run an unlimited number of CRM instances, for yourself or for clients
- modify the code however you like, including renaming the product to your own brand
- deploy it to any host you choose
- keep every change private
You may not resell or redistribute the source code itself, or open-source it. That’s the whole deal. Compare it with a subscription, where the vendor can change pricing, features or terms and your only lever is to leave. We read the license line by line here.
“You shouldn’t have to pay to be someone else’s software tester.” That’s Seedly’s founder on why updates are opt-in, and it’s the most underrated part of the deal.
White-labeling and reselling
GoHighLevel’s white-label is real but it stops at their platform: your brand sits on top of their software, and full SaaS mode with markup rebilling sits on the $497 tier.
With Seedly the software is yours. Each brand you run gets its own logo, colors, custom CSS, Google Fonts, custom domain and branded login URL like app.yourclient.com. Under the hood, every sub-account can carry its own wallet and plan, with SMS, voice, AI transcription and phone numbers rebilled at the provider’s real cost times your markup. Stripe Connect lets each client invoice their own customers. More on white-labeling.
Your data, your accounts
On Seedly, the database lives in your Convex account and the app runs on your Vercel account. You hold the keys to the messaging providers. If you ever part ways with Seedly the company, nothing stops working, because there is nothing to cancel.
That also makes compliance conversations easier. Seedly ships a HIPAA mode that enforces two-factor authentication, keeps audit logs for six years, keeps patient details out of outbound notifications and switches off integrations that can’t sign a BAA. Details and caveats here.
Setup: the honest part
Seedly is not a sign-up form. Expect four to seven hours of active work and one to seven days of waiting for US carriers to approve SMS registration (A2P 10DLC), which every serious SMS platform requires anyway.
You don’t need to code. A guided setup companion called Sprout walks you through each account, one step at a time, in plain English. There’s an 18-chapter manual behind it, and if you use Claude Code the project ships with instructions so the AI can walk you through it too. Here’s what the day actually looks like.
The verdict
If your CRM is a cost center you’d happily rent forever, GoHighLevel is fine. If it’s the backbone of your agency, renting it is an expensive habit. Seedly CRM gives you the same agency toolkit, unlimited sub-accounts, real rebilling and a product you can put your own name on, for less than six months of GoHighLevel Unlimited.

Questions people ask
Is Seedly CRM cheaper than GoHighLevel?
Over any period longer than about seven months, yes. Seedly CRM is a one-time $1,599 license. GoHighLevel costs $97, $297 or $497 per month. Against the $297 Unlimited plan, five years of GoHighLevel is $17,820, while Seedly plus $50 a month of hosting is $4,599.
Does Seedly CRM have the same features as GoHighLevel?
It covers the agency core: contacts, smart lists, pipelines, a unified inbox across SMS, email, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, web chat and calls, a visual workflow builder with 78 node types and 68 triggers, calendars and booking, forms, invoicing, e-signatures, reputation management, a power dialer, AI call grading, sub-account snapshots and white-labeled branded logins. Website building and communities are separate Seedly products (Seedly Sites and Seedly Communities).
Can I resell Seedly CRM to clients like GoHighLevel SaaS mode?
You can run unlimited CRM instances for clients and bill them through built-in wallets, plans, recurring fees and usage rebilling with your own markup. What you cannot do is resell the source code itself.
Who hosts Seedly CRM?
You do, on your own Convex (database and backend) and Vercel (web hosting) accounts. Both have free tiers to start. You keep full control of the accounts and the data.
